Our Advanced English Studies MA programme offers students the opportunity to enrich their knowledge of British-American literature and culture either as a development of their first degree, as a basis for subsequent doctoral research, or as a year of intense intellectual activity for its participants.

Its main aim is to introduce key contemporary approaches to the study of literature and their foundation in history, politics, ethics, and aesthetics. Its central thematic focus is on narratives of war and its aftermath, a corpus increasingly recognized as one of the most challenging fields of interdisciplinary research in the humanities.

This MA is open to students from all over the world who have completed a first degree in literature or related subject. The working language is English.

The academic year starts in October (registration is at the end of September) and ends in June.
